Ford Motor Company
Multicultural Brand Campaign: Art Direction, Broadcast TV
Due to the continued growth of African American women in leadership and entrepreneurship roles, Ford sought to step up their engagement with an ever-evolving movement that prides itself on the empowerment of self, diversity, and community.
For this demographic, “Going Further” isn’t just a tagline but a mantra by which they live. Born to play multiple roles and nurtured to move confidently in multiple worlds, African American women strive to not only succeed, but change the world in the process, knowing that only when drive and preparation meet opportunity does the real magic happen.
I art directed the broadcast campaign that brought that mantra to life. The campaign’s “Shopping” spot earned the Grand Prize in the African-American category at the 2017 ANA Multicultural Excellence Awards.
The Explorer spot meets its driver in full command of her world, where even an errand carries intention. Winner of the Grand Prize at the 2017 ANA Multicultural Excellence Awards.
The Focus spot runs on momentum: a driver whose day starts before the city’s does, and a car built to keep up.
Going Further, made personal: a broadcast campaign for Ford celebrating African American women in leadership and entrepreneurship, art directed by Husani Barnwell. Its “Shopping” spot took the Grand Prize in the African-American category at the 2017 ANA Multicultural Excellence Awards, the category’s highest honor.
